On Wednesday, Hunter hinted that he would announce his engagement on YouTube after he received 100,000 views.

The top 2022 class prospect and former Florida State commit announced his decision to transfer to Boulder in a video posted shortly after he reached the milestone. Upon Sanders' and Hunter's promotion to the FBS level, they will reconnect in Colorado.

Nonetheless, he was unsuccessful in leading Jackson State to a win in either of its playoff games in the Celebration Bowl, with the team losing to South Carolina State and North Carolina
